About Us

Our Approach

With over 45 years as a Registered Psychologist in British Columbia (1980–2025), I built a full-
time private practice in Surrey grounded in a best-practice model using well-researched
therapeutic approaches. I became Canada’s first psychologist to earn Certification as a Gottman
Method Couples Therapist — a distinction that reflects my commitment to evidence-based
practice.

Although I have retired from clinical practice, I continue to offer consulting services, drawing on
decades of experience with clients from a wide range of backgrounds and ages. My years of
travelling around the world inform a deep cross-cultural understanding that enriches every
engagement. I also work as a consultant to and trainer of other mental health professionals,
business professionals, and amateur sports participants or teams.

Whether you are dealing with pain (both physical and psychological), want to be a better spouse
or parent, are building a successful business, or simply want to play a better game of golf — I
bring the depth of experience and the best approaches in the field to meet your needs. Even
one session can make a difference!

Therapy Background

My therapeutic foundation was built on Behavior Therapy, Cognitive Therapy, and Experiential
Systemic Therapy. Over the course of my career, I integrated Mindfulness-Based Cognitive
Therapy (1991), EMDR (1993), Gottman Method Couples Therapy (1996), and Acceptance and
Commitment Therapy (2006) — each adding depth and versatility to my approach.
